    LATEST ANNOUNCEMENTS


    Contest

    We've had some great contest suggestions (such as a Halloween contest or a redesign of sets & costumes), but the one that seems to have garnered the most support is MissCyraf's "illustrate a lyric" idea. It's been added below in case anyone missed the suggestion.

    Should the next contest theme be:

    1. Illustrate one of the elaborate stage scenes from the movie (Hannibal, Masquerade, etc) - something with more than three characters on stage.

    2. An alternative ending to the AWL musical (the Phantom gets the girl, the crowd finds them and kills Erik, Erik kills Raoul and Christine hates him, etc).

    3. An alternate ending to any of the Phantom stories, but a happy one (although many may define this as Erik with Christine - others could disagree).

    4. Member suggestion: Illustrate a lyric from the musical. Note: Should this be Webber's *and* Hill's?

    Vote for your choice by replying to this journal. You have until September 12, 2007.

    Literature

    Remember that the mods have decided to start faving literature, so if any of our members have read some good phanfic here on dA let the club know. Some basic rules for literature submissions:

    1. The works must meet dA's submission policies, especially on mature works (see their policy page here: [link]).
    2. Completed works are preferred (there is nothing worse than waiting for installments that never come bec the author has tired of the story :p ).
    3. Almost any type is acceptable: Canon, Alternate Universe, Continuations, Sequels, Crossovers, One-shots, Poetry, Vignettes, etc.
    4. *Remember* We are an all age group, so either keep it clean or have the appropriate mature tag in place *and* have a sex/violence warning at the top of the submission.
    5. The decision of the mods on any particular submission is final.

    Hey guys this is Blue here! I wanted to tell everyone that I had such a fun time helping out here and seeing all of the awesome work ya'll have created. Unfortunately I've been having to deal with a serious heart problem that is interferring with my daily life. The great news is that I will recover with some hard work.     + Announced on the 9th of March there is going to be a sequel to the Broadway smash Phantom of the Opera. While Andrew Lloyd Webber didn't reveal much he did say that the new musical will be set in New York City and that he's in talks with "Phantom in Manhattan" writer Frederick Forsyth about story ideas.     ello, ello. I have a suggestion. It's that we each pic one lyric from the music, any version, and illustrate our perception of it. But if that's a no go, I also like the idea of doing a pic of a stage scene, number 1. Thanks!

    I like the idea of some sort of alternate ending contest. I could do a good piece of fanfiction for that. So, I vote 2 or 3. :)

    Hmm. . . I'd like to suggest a sort of a Halloween theme. Even though Halloween's a little ways off. But if that doesn't work, I'd go with #1. =)
